| Matt Rakowski just returned from the Docks and Marinas 2008 Seminar hosted by the University of Wisconsin. The topics of this three day seminar included; planning, design, and Construction of Modern Marina Facilities, Environmental Impacts, Permits, and Regulatory Compliance, Breakwaters and Wave Attenuators; Coastal and Waterfront Engineering. |

| 09/07/2008 SECB Certification |
| Devin Santa obtained certification in the practice of structural engineering from the Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB). This certification is part of a National program formed to identify Professional Engineers with additional education, experience, and skills that are particular to the practice of structural engineering. |

| 08/26/2008 John's Trip to Romania |
| John recently returned from the Black Sea in Romania as part of an Engineering Team with Black & Veatch. The Team, including the Black & Veatch GIS experts and coastal modeling experts from the US Army Corps of Engineers ERDC, is assisting the government of Romania, through the US Trade and Development Agency, with developing a sustainable Coastal Zone Management Plan. The project is focused upon developing a plan for implementation to gather critical coastal data and to develop a database for use by modelers to asess and predict sedimentation processes along the critically eroding Danube River Delta. |

| Jim Donegan of RACE recently obtained his 50 ton U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License. His experience goes way beyond commercial boat deliveries and operation of our survey and research vessels, and has included numerous crew assignments on the Newport - Bermuda Race and most recently at the Swan World Champioships in Sardinia, Italy. |

| 09/02/2007 Welcome aboard Matt! |
| RACE welcomes the addition of our newest employee. Matt Rakowski is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island's Civil Engineering Program. Matt has obtained his E.I.T. certification and is fully absorbed into all phases of the many projects currently on-going. Matt is an avid surfer and snow skier shifting his seasonal relaxation time between the beaches of Rhode Island and the mountains of northern New England. |
